Kane Community Hospital Installs New Digital Imaging Equipment
Kane Community Hospital (KCH), in its continuing efforts to provide its patients with state of the art technology, recently installed a new radiography and fluoroscopy system.
The first hospital in the area to convert its imaging department to digital technology in 2004, the new digital radiography equipment offers high image quality and increased productivity. Under the leadership of Jamil Sarfraz, M.D., Imaging Medical Director and Janet Brunner, Senior Manager, the imaging department takes pride in its accomplishments which include being recognized as a Breast Center of Excellence and Lung Center of Excellence.
The department also holds certifications by the American College of Radiology in MRI, MRI breast, stereotactic biopsies, mammography, CAT scan, nuclear medicine and ultrasound of general imaging as well as breast imaging.
According to KCH President Gary Rhodes, more digital technology updates are planned for this year.
